January: The Month of Shoveling

Feet of Global Warming had to be plowed and shoveled from my driveway this month. On the radio I heard a scientist who studies inland waterways claim that lakes, rivers, marshes, swamps, and streams contribute a significant percentage of carbon to the atmosphere.

Damn you, Walden Pond!

February 2: The Ground Hog Does Not See His Shadow Today

One wants to trust what seems useful and valid, but mostly I've never believed the expiration date on eggs or Velveeta. I also distrust those who say, "We're not making any money from this," no matter who it is.
